The Tomb of Orvane Thessaly
Who lit the ninth lamp, and did not put it out.
The antechamber
Orvane Thessaly spent two hundred and eleven years climbing the ranks of the art, and asked to be buried in the order she climbed them. Each chamber beneath this one holds a rank: what it means, what a wizard must survive to leave it, and a tale carved on the wall from the years she spent there.
The deeper you go, the older the magic and the fewer who have walked there. Bring a light. The tomb provides none past the third stair.
Your own climb lights these chambers. Each one you reach is lit, and its tale is yours to read. Deeper chambers stay sealed until you get there.
“Every rank is a door. None of them lock from the inside.”

The scribe’s table
Build a wizard each, choose how the tale begins, then take turns writing chapters. When you’re stuck, draw an omen for an idea. Your story saves as you write, and finished tales are kept in the library at the bottom.
